My first Mother’s Day without you. It still doesn’t feel real. I keep thinking you’re still here. Family isn’t family anymore. You kept us all together in a strange way. I miss your laugh and optimism. One day turns into two and that’s how it’s been. I work on an oncology and haematology ward which I find has helped ease my pain. Love you am so proud of the woman you were. None of us are perfect. We have a lasting memory of your handwriting and the last picture you drew. I love you x
